E. Ruchelle Steele, APN,ACNS-BC
Edith Ruchelle Steele, APN, ACNS-BC specializing in both Urgent Care and Family Medicine, especially in women’s health, weight loss, primary care, and minor surgery, Steele is a Tennessee Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, who is welcoming new patients and most insurances in both the hometown locations of Cookeville and Gainesboro.
Now, who is the person behind the stethoscope and lab coat? Even though born in Cleveland, Ohio, Steele was raised most of her life in middle Tennessee. She has been in the medical field for over 18 years with many years in cardiac and emergency medicine. She was awarded her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA with her graduate studies consisting of Adult Acute Care. This area of study intrigues her due to the adult population now living longer and more complex lives.
Her goal in embarking in this area of study is to contribute to the quality of life in the adult older population. With her unique one-on-one approach of really communicating with patients and understanding their needs, she aims to work with her patients on well-being and healthy lifestyle habits to helping them feel and get better.
In her spare time, she is active at her church as a Praise and Worship leader here in the Cookeville area. She is married to a wonderful man, who is a martial artist, and she, too, is a second degree black belt. She has two sons who are both successful, hard-working young men. I enjoy long walks and different types of exercise including Yoga. She is looking forward to meeting and caring for the adult population in Cookeville area and being part of the Team at CMC.
