Dr. Gamal Eskander, MD, is a double board-certified Doctor of Family Practice and Preventative Medicine at Cookeville Medical Clinic RHC. With four office locations in Cookeville, Gainesboro, Crossville, and Sparta, Tennessee, he provides expert care to all his patients at the Cookeville and Sparta offices.

Dr. Eskander graduated from Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt in 1980. Once he relocated to the States, Dr. Eskander completed his residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN from ‘87-’89. He remains an active Fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

Dr. Eskander has been a vital member of the Upper Cumberland healthcare community since 1991. He opened his first private practice in Sparta, TN. He then opened an office here in Cookeville in 2006, where he practiced until 2016. For the last 5 years, Dr. Eskander has been the Medical Director for Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. While he enjoyed his time here, he greatly missed his patients in private practice and is happy to join Dr. Jain and his team as a part-time provider.

Dr. Eskander has been happily married to his darling wife, Karen, for 38 years, and together they have 3 children. He enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing racquetball and tennis in his free time.
