Amber Wilson Moore, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is very excited to be joining the provider team at Cookeville Medical Clinic RHC. With four offices located in Cookeville, Gainesboro, Crossville, and Sparta, Amber’s primary site for providing care will be located in Sparta, her hometown.
Amber graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2012 and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2020. Both degrees were obtained at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
She began her career in healthcare in 2008, as a nursing/patient care assistant and RN prior to becoming a FNP. She was previously employed at Cookeville Regional Medical Center where she spent thirteen years in acute care practice, including both critical care and perioperative specialties. Amber began her profession as a mid-level provider in Primary Care at Providence Family Medicine in Sparta in May 2021.
Amber uses evidence-based guidelines with care management of her patients. Her passion is family medicine, and she focuses on personalized, holistic, quality and compassionate care for patients. She supports patient autonomy and taking ample time to meet patients’ comprehensive needs. She applies education, lifestyle modifications, pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacologic therapeutics with a goal of influencing health and managing illness in positive ways.
In her personal time, Amber’s priorities are serving God and spending time with her husband and family. She enjoys church, outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming, animals, hiking and anything relating to the peace that nature brings.
She feels blessed to have the opportunity and privilege to work together with and serve the rural community she grew up in and loves. Amber welcomes and looks forward to providing optimal care to all patients!
